Description
Wailua Falls is a 173 foot waterfall that feeds into Wailua River. Near Lihue, it is one of the few waterfalls that you will not have to hike to view. Standing at the top of the rim you will feel the spray of water lightly mist your face. As the sun moves throughout the day you may see one of the many rainbows that will show as a result of the misting water from the cascading falls. A long exposure under a full moon with a fully flowing waterfall shows a rainbow in the waterfall mist.
