Tunnels Afterglow

An incredibly peaceful and breathtaking moment, fringed by palms and Ironwood trees, as the sun sets and a crescent moon rises high in the sky above Bali Hai, or Makana Mountain. Set amidst a backdrop of lush jungle and mountains, I started here early that morning at first light and spent the entire day photographing large waves on the golden sand beaches of Kauai’s north shore. In the final glimpses of light at Tunnels Beach, I shot the last handful of images for the day which resulted in this picturesque and tranquil capture.
