Kilauea Falls

A cascade of water rushes over the edge of the cliff into the pool below in this remote and lush tropical scene at Kilauea Falls. Located on Kauai’s north shore along the Kilauea Stream, this treasured site is a rarely visited and secret waterfall that was once a local favorite. A friend of mine and I paddled, waded, and rock hopped up the stream to get to this location. The reward for our efforts was this powerful capture.
