Hanalei Heart Tree

The sky fills with spectacular sunset hues and reflects off of still waters as Nene, native Hawaiian geese, meander near a heart-shaped tree in front of the wetland taro fields of Kauai’s lush Hanalei Valley. The Hanalei Valley has been an important agricultural site for as long as people have populated Kauai and is a special part of Kauai culture. After working all day in Princeville, I had just enough time to catch this majestic sunset. I captured this image while enjoying 15 minutes of epic color in which I was laughing and smiling at the immeasurable beauty I had been blessed with.
