Hanalei Taro Sunset

In the Hanalei Valley on the North Shore of Kauai is home to one of the largest wetlands of taro (kalo) in the state of Hawaii.  A vital part of the culture and history of Hawaii the taro plant has been growing here for over 700 years.  This sunset brought hues of purple and pink to the wet taro fields, capturing the beauty and respect the taro fields hold.
