Glacier Lagoon, Iceland

Sunday morning I woke about an hour before daylight and drove to glacier lagoon, hoping for an impressive sunrise.  I knew of "Diamond Beach" and was really looking forward to a colorful sky to illuminate the glacial ice on the beach.  Here's some of my favorite shots from my day around glacier lagoon. These will be available for purchase in a special section on my website soon!  In the meantime, please email inspire@abephotography.com for details.

Hanalei Moonbow!

So, it was a long and tiring day today where everything seemed to take three times as long as it should. Obstacle over obstacle, but all that doesn't matter because as soon as I got to Moloaa, driving back north from Poipu, I see a fat white band over the road. A moonbow! I've seen [...]

Kilohana Vista

Yesterday I noticed there was a high likelihood for a clear view above Wainiha Valley at Kilohana Vista.  I stitched this image together from 9 shots, zoomed in, to be able to see Hanalei, Princeville, and Kilauea (see the lighthouse!) as clear as possible.  Enjoy!

When it rains, waterfalls!

This morning I decided to head to Hanalei Bay and hang out and watch the world go by.  I was thinking with all the heavy rain we've been having here on the north shore of Kauai, that there'd be a high likelihood there'd be a bunch of waterfalls to see in between rain clouds.  Well, [...]

On Tuesday I went on a trip up the Na Pali Coast with Captain Andy's.  Just a nice dinner cruise with a new friend.  The weather was beautiful.

An afternoon on the north shore of Kauai

Decided to slow down a bit and just wander the north shore with a photographer friend (@jocksphotos on Instagram) and caught a really nice sunset.  I've been hot on doing slow shutter work on moving water and I couldn't have picked a better spot for it.  While waiting for the sun to get low enough [...]

Namolokama Waterfalls

This is one of those photos that only becomes available at a moments notice and if you're lucky more than once a year.  I'm so stoked to have finally gotten this shot!  It was taken in Princeville looking across Hanalei Valley at (from left to right) Hihimanu, Namolokama, and Mamalahoa mountains.  Nene for scale ;)

My 15 personal favorite photos from 2015

Aloha!  I moved to Kauai in 2010 with the intention to experience the wild and adventurous side of Kauai.  I was not very happy with my various jobs' stronghold and vied for more independence (I began this path in late 2013).  Well, 2015 evolved into a breakout year for me.  I began the year joining [...]
